Rosa Lily Savage was born on 26th September 1894 at Islington in the northern suburbs of London, daughter of Rosa Savage, formerly Godsmark, and her husband Walter Edmund Savage, a chemical packer. At the time of Rosa's baptism a couple of weeks after her birth the family was living at 9 Wedmore Street. They later moved out to 24 Hartham Road, Tottenham, where they appear in the 1901 census. By 1911 they had moved again to Dartford in Kent.
Rosa's father died in 1923. The 1939 Register, taken just after the outbreak of the Second World War, found Rosa living with her mother at 17 Marcet Road in Dartford. Rosa was working as a general clerk.
Rosa died on 14th November 1948 at the Southern Hospital in Darenth, near Dartford. She was 54. Her estate was administered by her mother.
