Robina Johanna Moncrieff (d. 28aug1886 Edinburgh), daughter of Robert Hope Moncrieff, writer, married (8oct1829 Glasgow, IGI) Laurence Robertson (chr 7sep1799, Perth, d. 7nov1876 Edinburgh, manager of Royal Bank of Scotland) and had a son Robert Hope Robertson (1836-7jan1903 Glasgow, stockbroker, marr (3jan1878 at Glasgow) Margaret Campbell) (G. MacGregor). Laurence was son of Laurence Robertson (chr 9feb1761 Perth, d. 19aug1824 Perth), mercht, banker and provost of Perth, and Margaret Ritchie, who marr 28apr1794 at Perth (G. MacGregor). Scottish archives have the will of Laurence Robertson, sometime cashier of Royal Bank of Scotland, thereafter residing in Edinburgh, d. 7nov1876, Edinburgh, and of Robina Johanna Robertson or Moncrieff, 5 Melville Cresc., Edinburgh, d. 28aug1886 at Toftcombs, Biggar, Lanarks. (scotlandspeople). In 1841 Lawrence Robertson (1801, banker), Robina (1816), Robert Hope (1835), b. outside county, and others were at Inverkip, Renfrewshire (census). In 1881 Robina J. Robertson (1813 Perth, bankers widow) was at 5 Melville Cresc., Edinburgh (census).
