Will of Robert Glenn; executed 6 Aug 1840; filed for probate 5 Oct 1840; p. 432 of Will Book I
I, Robert Glenn, do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me heretofore made, first I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of my money which I may be possessed, or which may first come to hand of my executors.
Second I will and bequeath to my wife the whole of land during her life and that at her death the land be sold and the proceeds divided equally between my five sons, viz: James, William, Robert, Henderson and John.
3rd I give and bequeath unto Robert Murray and Hannah Pebley twenty five dollars each to be paid equally by my five sons.
4th I give and bequeath unto Caswell, my grand son, the filly which he claims.
5th I give and bequeath unto my wife all my household furniture and a certain bay mare called the Sweet Mare and two milk cows, sooch as she chooses.
6th I request that whatever amount I may have to pay as security for my son John that the same amount be taken from his portion of the sale of my land and given to Caswell and Johnson. However, my two grandsons to be divided equally.
7th I direct that all the residue of my personal property be sold and the proceeds divided equally between my children, viz: Jonas, Polly, Jane, Nancy, Sarah, Marthy, Robert, William, Henderson, and John.
8th I request that the sales of my personal property be divided equally between my five daughters, viz: Polly, Jane, Nancy, Sarah and Marthy, and that the boys have no part in the sale of the property.
9th I direct that my daughter Marthy have her cow and bed.
I hereby appoint David Richardson and my wife, Nancy Glenn, my Executrix and Executor.

The last Will and Testament of Col. Robert Glenn, late of this County, was produced here in open court for probate, whereupon came Russel Miller, and Franklin Miller, subscribing witnesses thereto, who being first sworn, depose and say that they are personally acquainted with Col. Robert Glenn, the above mentioned Testator, and that he acknowledged the foregoing named will while in their presence to be his last Will and Testament and he appeared to be of sound disposing mind and memory at the time of publishing and declaring the same to the best of their knowledge and belief. Winess my hand at office in Jacksborough this 5th day of October, 1840.
