On her original tombstone her name was spelled Mary Edmondson, it appears that the name was change from the spelling Edmiston to Edmondson in this generation.

Different Death dates: the old stone said she died 7 April 1859, but the Death Recorded was 20 April 1859, so on the new stone it has 20 April 1959, when it was put up Howard Jones and Art Wills agree that the 20 April instead of 7 April should be the date put on the new stone...--Dlbradley1 09:01, 24 March 2009 (EDT)

The date the death was recorded is not really the same as the date the person died. In all likelihood (personal opinion) the date on the original stone was correct, and the death was not recorded until a few weeks later. Q 09:31, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
