Board The funeral of Phillip Board, a well known resident of Copperopolis who died from the effects of a kick delivered by a mule, was held this morning from the Wallace funeral chapel in this city. The deceased was an employee of the Union Construction Company and was kicked in the face while trying to doctor the mule. He was picked up unconscious after he lain out in the sun several hours. The deceased was the father of Miss Cora Board of San Francisco; Mrs. John Davis of Marysville and Mrs. Joseph Egan of Copperolpolis and brother of David, Frank and James Board and Mrs. B. D. Beckwith of Linden. He was a native of Missouri, aged 67 years.
