Personal History

Phebe Ball, daughter of Israel Ball and Persis[2] (Stone), was born 10 March 1778,[1][2] in Spencer, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[2] She died 9 November 1804, in Kingston (later renamed Granville), Vermont.[1]

Newman Scarlett and Phebe Ball were married 4 April 1793, in Kingston (later renamed Granville), Vermont. The births of their children appear in the town records of Granville.

    The index cards list the parents as Newman Scarlett and Phebe —, however the subject of these cards is probably Newman's wife Phebe and not a daughter of the same name.
