Personal History

Newman Scarlett, first son of Newman Scarlet and Betty (Peacock), was born 18 June 1769, in Tewksbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[1][2]

Newman Scarlett and Phebe Ball were married 4 April 1793, in Kingston (later renamed Granville), Vermont. The births of their children appear in the town records of Granville.
