In 1900 he was a grocery salesman; 1920 & 1930 a conductor on electric railroad, and in 1920 Lizzie Scott, sister-in-law, is with them. News Item Bikers Make the Run to Newport Perry and Chancey Corl, Thad Palmer, Will Brandige, A. Gerrard and J. Campbell spent Sunday at Newport Beach. They made the trip down on their 'Bikes,' leaving here at 10:30 Saturday night and making the fifty-seven miles by daylight Sunday morning. The boys got enough biking over the rough, dusty road of Orange county on the trip down, for they returned aboard the train, arriving here at 11:30 yesterday. The boys say they admire biking but don't care for it when they have to walk three-fourths of the way. The say if they can interest Col. Ike Logan in the scheme they will construct a bicycle path between here and Newport before they go to take their next annual bath. Source: Riverside Independent Enterprise, Tuesday, August 17, 1897. Bass of Ventura, Calif.; C.V. Corl of Los Angeles; uncle of Ethel S. Bass of Ventura, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the M.H. Simons & Co. chapel, Dr. D.L. Macquarrie officiating. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. Riverside Lodge No. 282, I.O.O.F. will have charge of the services at the cemetery.
