Obituary

LESTER C. CORL

 After an illness of more than five  years Lester C. Corl, one time resident of Riverside, died at the family residence at Pomona at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning.  The deceased came to Riverside with his parents in 1887, and was a resident of this city for 22 years, going from here to Pomona where he had resided since that time.  He was 50 years of age.
 Lester Corl was for many years connected with the Riverside fire department as a call man, being one of the drivers when the apparatus was horse propelled.  He was associated with his father, William J. Corl, in the grocery business on East Eighth street, and later with his brother C.B. Corl at the same location.
  The deceased was born in Canfield, O., in 1876, and lived in Fargo, N.D. for two years coming from there to Riverside.  He is survived by two brothers, Perry S. Corl of Riverside and C.B. Corl of Sherman, Los Angeles County, and one sister, Mrs. Ida L. Bass of Riverside.
 Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at Pomona.  The order of Moose will be in charge of the services at the cemetery.
