Mrs. Pearl L. Hill, 77, of 646 Jefferson Street, Hagarstown, died Monday, October 13, at Colton Manor Nursing Home. Born in Wolfsville, she was a daughter of Simon T. and Effie M. Shuff Eccard, and the widow of Earl E. Hill Sr.. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville; and the U. A. W., local 842. She had been employed at Fairchild Industries for 15 years prior to her retirement and had done volunteer work at Western Maryland Center for 10 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margret Waters of Cavetown; sons, Earl E. Hill Jr., and Charles Brandenburg, both of Hagarstown; stepdaughters, Mrs. Thelma Wheatley of Hagarstown, Mrs. Jane's not of Florida, and Mrs. Betty Rudy of St. Charles, Missouri; and nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, October 16 at 1:30 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home. The Rev. John W. Schildt officiated, burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery. S10
