- ↑ "Breaks Leg - John Eccard of Wolfsville, Is Thrown By Frieghtened Horse -While Mr. John Eccard, of Wolfsville, was driving his four-horse teamnear here yesterday, being engaged in hauling sand, his lead horses werefreightened at seeing a white apron worn by Miss Blickenstaff flutteringin the wind. Wheeling about they overthrew the wheelhorses, and Mr.Eccard was caught under the saddle horse and suffered a broken leg. Hewas extricated by his father and others who happened to be near. Dr.Ralph Browning was summoned and set the fracture which was between hisknee and ankle."
