Paul Farmer, retired Allison employee, died

Paul M. Farmer, 81, a resident of 230 S. Madison, Mooresville, died Sunday in a nursing home in Indianapolis where he had been for two months. He had been ill a year.

A native of Mooresville, he was born April 17, 1900, to George and Carrie McNeff Farmer.

On Jan. 19, 1920, he married the former Inez Hensley, who died on March 7, 1975.

Survivors include a son, Robert Farmer of Mooresville; a daughter, Helen Holt of Greenfield; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Farmer had lived all his life in Morgan County and was a retried patrolman with the Allison Division of General Motors in Indianapolis. He was a 50-year member of the Mooresville United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Mooresville.

The Rev. Harold Walker will conduct the funeral Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Carlisle and Son Funeral Home in Mooresville.

Burial will be in Mooresville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
