From a file at the Morgan County Public Library, no newspaper name given, dated June 1925. Funeral of Esta Farmer A very large company of relatives and sympathizing friends assembled at the M. E. church last Thursday morning for the funeral services of Esta Farmer, which were held at 10 o’clock. The invocation was made by Rev. D. W. Jesse, a quartet composed of Mrs. A. H. Keller, Rev. B. B. Shake, Mrs. Cheslie Thompson and C. B. Comer, with Mrs. E. F. Harvey at the piano, sang the hymns. His physician, Dr. W. L. Thompson, prepared the tribute which was read by Robert Nelson. Rev. E. J. Jewett of Franklin, a former pastor, preached the funeral sermon. The floral offerings freighted with their consoling messages for the bereaved ones and expressing the high esteem in which the deceased was held, were carried by Mesdames Ed Nelson, E. N. Milhon, H. R. Kitchen, Wm Dorman, Alfred McCarty, J. N. Morgan, Lena Wilson, Clyde Harvey, Misses Virginia and Truth Wakeman and Charlotte House. He was borne to his last resting place in the Mooresville cemetery by Glover Nelson, Harry Smith, C. A. Holaday, Gary Jones, Howard Lindley and Milford Carlisle, where the Masonic order, of which he was a member, serving officially in it for a number of years, gave their beautiful and impressive service. Mrs. E. T. Albertson and James Davis, of Indianapolis and John Farmer of Roachdale attended the funeral. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Farmer, and one brother, Paul Farmer, all residing here. References
