Patsy Elizabeth Lamb, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Hiram Lamb, was born, March 9, 1861. She was married to William Harvey Jackson, January 15, 1880. Four children were born to his union, one daughter, Gracie; and three sons, Fred B., Hiram and Hester, all of whom are living. She obeyed the gospel in early life and lived an exemplary Christian life. She was a member of the Church of Christ, at Owensburg, at the time of her death, which occurred August 2, 1911. Her father and mother, husband and children are living, together with a great number of relatives and friends to mourn her departure. Be we sorrow with hope and tears mingled with joy. We feel her loss more deeply than we can express. But our loss is surely her gain. We look with breaking hearts upon her lifeless form, but we expect her soul to be among the redeemed where sorrow is not felt. The large crowd that attended her funeral showed the high esteem in which she was held. The writer spoke to the people assembled at the meeting house where she loved to worship in life, at 2:00 p.m. Aug. 3, after which her lifeless form was laid to rest in the Owensburg cemetery, to await the awakening of the judgement morn.
