She was the mother of nine children, five boys and four girls, of which seven still survive. She had been a devoted Christian ever since eleven years old and lived a life of which her relatives should be proud. The remains were laid to rest in the Dry Bayou cemetery at 3:30 Thursday afternoon, April 27, 1916. The funeral address was delivered by Rev. Arthur Pool in the presence of relatives and friends. Mrs. Jackson was born in Missouri near Portageville, and had lived here ever since her birth. The entire community join the grief stricken family in their hour of sorrow. The deceased was married to Riley Jackson in 1880, her former name being Bailey. She was a sister to Johnny Bailey. References
