Curtis' Find-a-Grave memorial page gives a birth location of Portageville, New Madrid Co., Missouri. But his WWI Draft Card states he was born in Stewart, Missouri which is in Pemiscot County. This site will use the Draft card information. The Find-a-Grave also gives a death date and location (7 Dec 1929, Pemiscot Co., MO) which differs from the Arkansas Death Index which indicates a date of 7 Dec 1928 and location of Mississippi County, Arkansas. If a death certificate could be found, it probably would settle these differences. I note also Curtis has died young, leaving his wife Gertrude with several small children. Gertrude shares a gravestone with Clarence S. Jackson so if could be assumed that Curtis' widow Gertrude Autry Jackson married (2nd) to Curtis' brother Clarence. A search for this marriage info will be made.
