In August 1917 Nancy visited someone in Janesville, MN for two weeks, according to the local newspaper. On 26 Feb. 1941 the SSP Daily Reporter contained an article about the tea which was held for her 79th birthday by her daughters, Mrs. L.W. Derr of South Park and Mrs. Frank Snyder of St. Paul. The party was attended by 12 guests including Mrs. S. W. Dennison, Mrs. Lester McPheron, and Mrs. Elmer G. Chatterton. "Mrs. Curry has lived in SSP for 41 years. She came here from Illinois with her husband, the late Stephen D. Curry, and their four children in 1900 and lived here ever since. She is a member of the Clark Memorial Congregational Church and has been active in the Sunday school, Ladies Aid, and the Women's Missionary Society and still works with those organizations. She enjoys reading, likes the radio and the movies, and is well informed on state and national affairs."

She died in Feb. 1950 at the home of her daughter, Forrest Derr at 951-15th ave. no. in SSP. Nancy Hart Curry was the oldest living member of Clark Memorial when she died. She had been a member for 50 years and was past president of the Ladies Aid Society and the Missionary Society and had taught Sunday School and Bible classes for many years. She was also a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 123. The funeral took place at Clark Church. Edna (Hoover) Kunz, a niece of Forrest Derr, recalled in 1992 "Nancy didn't like her name so she named the boys Shirley, Isaac B. Craig...noone knows what the B was for...and the girls Forrest and Phleta; unusual names, not plain like hers."

My note: That may have been true of the names for the girls but I believe the name Shirley was a family name somewhere and Isaac may have been named after Isaac B. Craig, a prominent attorney in Coles Co., IL.
