Funeral service for Mrs. Mertie A. Myers 92 who died Monday, April 8, 1963 will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, (April 11, 1963) at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo, Clarion Co., PA. Rev. William Milliron, pastor of the Pine Grove Methodist Church will officiate. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., today (Wednesday, April 10, 1963). Interment will follow the funeral services in Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Finefrock, Floyd Finefrock, Guy Finefrock, Dick Smith, Deprell Lerch and Samuel Elder. Mrs. Myers died at 4:30 p.m., Monday at the home of her son, George Myers of Sligo RD l. Mrs. Myers was born April 15, 1870 in Monroe Township, Clarion County, PA the daughter of James and Sarah Ruth McDowell. She was married June 20, 1889 to Milo Thompson Myers, who died April 27, 1957. Mrs. Myers was a member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church and an honorary member to he WSCS of the church. Survivors include the following children: George Myers, Mrs. Lena Over and Helen Dixon, all of RD Sligo, PA; Glade Myers of Petrolia and Mrs Amy McIntyre of Oil City,PA. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Four children, Mrs. Carrie Altman, Chester Myers, Infant Lloyd Myers and infant Blanche Myers preceded her in death. Two brothers and three sisters, William McDowell, Charles E. McDowell, Mrs. Alice Oppelt, Mrs. Carrie Gourley and Mrs. Mary Stanford also preceded her in death. - ↑ Hawk Funeral Home, Sligo, PA
