    SLIGO - George V. Myers, 70, of Sligo RD 2, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday in Clarion Hospital.
    He was born October 17, 1899, in Piney Township, Clarion County, a son of Miles Thompson and Mertie McDowell Myers.
    In 1917 he married the former Florence Gaile Bracken. She preceded him in death in 1921.
    In February, 1924, Mr. Myers married the former Mabel Jane Over who died in 1966.
    He was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church and past president of the Clarion County Sabbath School Association.
    Mr. Myers was also a member of Sligo IOOF Lodge 387.
    He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norma Louise Bisset of Lowellville RD 2, Ohio; four sons, Carl Myers of Polaski, Ohio, Wilbert Myers of Sligo RD2, Duane Myers of St. Petersburg and Dennis Myers of Rimersburg RD1; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Clyde ‎‎(Lena)‎‎ Over and Mrs. Edwin ‎‎(Helen)‎‎ Dixon, both of Sligo RD2, and Mrs. Don ‎‎(Amy)‎‎ McIntyre of Oil City RD, and one brother, Glade Myers of Petrolia.
    He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Lloyd Myers and two sisters, Miss Blanche Myers and Mrs. Carrie Altman.
    Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. William He*lon, pastor of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, officiating.
    Interment will be in Sligo Cemetery.
    The Odd Fellows will hold a service at 8 p.m. Sunday.
