  2.   Death Notice.

    OBIT- from Orillia Packet & Times- Late Moses McDonnell - who died in his 90th year, One of the earlier residents of Rama Twp. where he came by ox cart, with his parents in the early 1850's. Moses McDonnell died at his home on the second concession of the township, on Wednesday last, in his 90th year. The late Mr. McDonnell was widely known throughout the district where he lived for over 80 years, and up to a few days ago had been in good health. The deceased, who was the son of the late Wm. McDonnell and Mary Hayes, was born at the Don River, which is now Toronto, in 1848. When about 6 years of age,(sic) he moved to Rama Twp., coming with a yoke of oxen and residing in this township ever since.

  3.   The 1938 Will of Moses- makes the following bequests- to his wife Annie the 50 acres of, the south half of Lot 15, Con. 4, Rama; Also to have a living from the farm occupied by Whitney my son, if Whitney was to marry, then he would give his mother part of the house or provide her with a home. Annie also received 2 cows and fowl for her use.-- to his son Whitney, the 75 acres of the N.W. part of lot 15, Con. 2, Rama. and the S1/2 of lot 16, Con. 4 abt. 50 acres, plus all implements, horses, cattle (except 3) and livestock.-- to his sons Stafford and Bartley, jointly, the north 1/2 of lot 16, Con. 4, Rama. To his daughter Rena one cow.-- The total value of the Estate was $2,440.
