CASCADE, Iowa - Michael T. Finn, 68, 20991 Skahill Road, Cascade, died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Temple Hill, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there is a wake service at 7 p.m. Mr. Finn farmed in the Temple Hill area, and operated Mike Finn Trucking. He was born on Jan. 9, 1930, in Temple Hill, son of Louis and Josephine (Donovan) Finn. He married Viola Garien on Feb. 17, 1953, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Temple Hill. He received his education at the former St. Peter's School, Temple Hill. He was a member of St. Peter's Parish, Temple Hill. Surviving are his wife, Viola Finn, of Cascade; three sons, Dan (Julie) Finn and Joe Finn, both of Cascade, and John (Susan) Finn, of Albert Lea, Minn.; two daughters, Shirley (Gary "Jake") Leytem, of Cascade, and Mary Jo (Dean) Feldmann, of Keystone; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Margaret Townsend, of Cedar Rapids, and JoAnn (Jerry) Ray, of Anamosa; and a brother-in-law, Louis Holub, of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jack Finn; two sisters, Bernice Holub and Katherine Finn; and a brother-in-law, Henry Townsend. A Michael T. Finn Memorial Fund has been established.
