Louis J. Finn

TEMPLE HILL -- Funeral services for Louis J. Finn, 73, were held at 10 am Saturday, June 7, at St. Peter's church, Temple Hill.

The Rev. Paul Donovan of Flint, Mich., a nephew, presided at the Requiem High Mass. The Rev. Robert Saunders conducted the graveside services in St. Peter's cemetery. Military services were held.

Louis Finn died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 4, at the Frank O'Connell residence, eight miles south of Cascade. He was married to Josephine Donovan, who died in July 1950.

He is survived by a son, Michael, of Cascade; four daughters, Mrs. Louis (Bernice) Holub of Monticello, Miss Catherine Finn of Scotch Grove, Mrs. David (JoAnn) Frasher of Martelle, and Mrs. Henry (Mary Margaret) Townsend of Scotch Grove; 22 grandchildren, and a brother, Clarence Finn, of Cascade.

Louis Joseph Finn

Louis Joseph Finn, 73, died suddenly at 8:30 am Wednesday, June 4, at the Frank O'Connell residence 10 miles south of Cascade.

Friends called at the Devaney Funeral Home, from where services were held at 10 am Saturday to St. Peter's Church, Temple Hill. The Rev. Paul Donovan, Lansing, Michigan, offered the Mass of Requiem. The Rev. Robert Saunders, pastor, officiated at graveside services in St. Peter's cemetery. The Rev. Harold Ginter was also present in the sanctuary.

The deceased was born at Temple Hill April 26, 1896, son of Michael and Mary (Murray) Finn. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Cascade Post 528. Military services were conducted by American Legion Post 528 at the funeral.

Casketbearers were Leo Burke, Frank O'Shea, Louis Moran, Mike Paulsen, Allan Gavin, Joe Strang, Earl Skahill, Loras Lyons.

He is survived by 1 son, Michael, Cascade; 4 daughters, Mrs. Louis (Bernice) Holub, Monticello, Miss Catherine Finn, Scotch Grove, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Townsend, Scotch Grove, Mrs. David (JoAnn) Frasher, Martelle; 22 grandchildren; 1 brother, Clarence Finn, Cascade.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine Donovan, 1 son, Jack, and a sister.
