MRS. MALLISSA LOUTH DIES EARLY WEDNESDAY.
Spencerville, Sept. 28 - Mrs. Mallissa Louth, 79, died at 1:15 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucy Driftmeyer, near here. Death was due to complication of diseases.
She is survived by eight children: Mrs. Luella Hagen, of Ottawa; Mrs. Samuel Savage, near Spencerville; Mrs. Driftmeyer, at whose home she died; Adam Louth of Lima; Mrs. Minnie Remer, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Harriet Patton, Fredonia, Kans., Mrs. Della Johnson, Roxanna, Ark., and Charles Louth, of Florence, Cal. Three brothers, Louis Carpenter, of Lima, Charles, of Hudson, Mich., and Edward, of Pittsford, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Harriet Hempker, of Delphos, survive, as well as 25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are incomplete. Burial will be in West side cemetery, Delphos.

HOLD SERVICES FOR SISTER OF MRS. HEMKER
Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa Louth, sister of Mrs. Harriet Hemker, north of Delphos, were conducted at the West Union Church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. E. E. Stouffer, pastor of the Christian Church of this city, officiated. Interment was made at the West Side cemetery in this city.
Mrs. Louth passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucy Driftmeyer, at Spencerville. She was seventy-nine years of age. Surviving are six daughters and two sons: Mrs. Luella Hogan, Ottawa; Mrs. Samuel Savadge, of near Spencerville; Mrs. Lucy Driftmeyer, of Spencerville; Minnie Remer of St. Louis, Mo; Harriet Patton of Fredonia, Kan.; Della Johnson of Roxana, Tex.; Adam Louth, of Lima; and Charles, of Florence, Colo.

VLA recalled that Melissa Carpenter Louth lived with various family members then came back to the Spencerville area during the end of life. She lived for a time in the home of Edward and Gladys Reynolds. Then a daughter returned to Spencerville & Melissa moved in with her.
