After presenting evidence for Mary being the daughter of goldsmith Thomas Wetherell, the author suggests that Mary was born either before Richard or between Christopher and Thomas. Based on the median age at marriage of her cousins (26), he suggests she was born about 1538. However, since she had 5 minor children in 1595 (her husband's will), she was likely born later, even though that puts her age at marriage (about 19) well under the average of the time (27).
