 In the 1860 census for Center, Boone Co., Indiana, George W. 'Shulse' [also indexed as 'Shular'] is 52, farmer from Kentucky; with Martha 45 KY; Margaret A. 18 OH; John 15 OH; Arthur 13; and Thomas P. 9 OH.  Son Peter M. 'Shultz' is listed in Randolph Co. with family.
 In the 1870 census for Boone Co., Martha 'Shultse' is listed with son Thomas P., John is listed with wife, and Peter with family in Randolph Co.  Arthur P. Shulse is listed as serving and dying in the Civil War.
