Mrs. Mary May Colar, 77, died Tuesday morning, November 9, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Davis, of Kilgore, following a brief illness. Born in Kilgore, September 5, 1877, she was the daughter of Adam and Emma (Phillips) Karns and was a life-long resident of Kilgore vicinity. She was faithful member of Kilgore Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Viola McMillen, both of Kilgore; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Hoopengarner of North Canton and one brother, Ralph Karns, of Carrollton, and two grandchildren. Services will be held from the Arbaugh Funeral Home, in Carrollton, Thursday at 1 p.m. and at 2 p.m. in the Lutheran Church in Kilgore with Rev. Rollin Reiss officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
