Facts and Events
Name Mary Harvey
Gender Female
Marriage to George Peirce
Death? 1764 London, Middlesex, England
Reference Number 687

In her will, Mary Harvey Pierce (Perce) left money to Mr. Britton of Mill Yard meeting house. Her executors were her son Harvey's widow, Mary Day Pierce Braddock and George Braddock. She refers to her granddaughter Mary Simpson, married to William Simpson, the younger, and her four great grandchildren.

Mary Simpson is the daughter of Thomas Farr and Mary Peirce Huggins. Based on the copy of a marriage allegation between Laurence Huggins and Mary Peirce, recently received from the Society of Genealogists, it seems likely that Mary Peirce Huggins was the daughter of George Peirce's first wife, and thus would have been Mary Harvey's stepdaughter. (The marriage allegation refers to George Peirce as a widower, and this date is BEFORE his marriage to Mary Harvey.)

Mary Harvey Pierce's will also leaves a mourning ring to William Simpson the elder, whose will was probated in July of 1772 who is possibly the William Simpson who was buried in Mill Yard in March of 1772.
