!MARRIAGE; Married at the residence of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. George Duncan, in Smithfield township, by Rev W. S. Tracy, Mr. W. H. May and Miss Mary C. Duncan. The marriage took place Sunday, Aug 30 at 2 p. m. Only a few of the immediate relatives and friends were present; among who were Brooks Hine and wife of Sedan, and Miss Minnie Ahrendt, of Waterloo. After the ceremony the guests partook of an excellent dinner. The afternoon was spent in visiting. In the evening the bride and groom left for Auburn, to attend the teacher's institute during the week. All join in wishing them prosperity. The groom is one of the teachers in Waterloo schools, and a gentlemen of integrity and promise. The handsome bride is the daughter of ex-county Com. Duncan, and a cultured young lady. |
