They removed to Ohio, where they resided a number of years, settling in this county in 1852. She lived with her husband 45 years, until his removal by death in 1870. Mrs. Duncan was the mother of sixteen children, twelve of who she raised to manhood and womanhood, nine of them surviving her. All the survivng children were priviledged to attend the funeral services which were held at Barker's Chaper, Tuesday and the remains were buried beside her husband, and among her departed kindred, in the Hamilton Cemetery. Obituary; Waterloo Press - Dec 13, 1877 Mary Duncan died, at the family residence in Smithfield, December 10, 1877, Mary, widow of the late George J. Duncan, aged 72 years and 7 months. Mary Baxter was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, May 12, 1894, and was married March 15, 1825. They removed to Ohio, where they resided a number of years, settling in this county in 1852.
