Martin DUPUIS, born 1665, son of Michel & Marie GAUTROT, married at Port Royal around 1686 to Marie LANDRY, daughter of Rene' & Marie BERNARD; thirteen children listed. He lived at the river of Gaspareau, at Saint-Charles-des-Mines [Grand Pré, Acadia] where he was buried on 8 Aug 1713. !PARENTS-MOTHER: In Rieder's ACADIANS IN FRANCE, vol. 2, "The Belle-Ile-en-Mer Registers," p. 49, the descendants of this Martin declared that he was the son of Martin and of Perinne TERRIOT. Genevieve Massignon, in her LES PARLERS FRANCAIS on page 58 agrees with Rieder. Massignon stated that Perrine TERRIOT was probably a sister of Jean TERRIOT and that the TERRIOTs and DUPUIS were related by marriage before arriving in Acadia.
