He (Caleb) married Martha Jackson. Born, circa 1758. Died in Rockport, Ont., Can. There were many Jacksons in Long Island and there were many marriages between Seamans and Jacksons. Martha was a popular name amongst the Jackson and Seaman families and the parentage of this particular Martha has not been established. She undoubtedly came from the family of Robert Jackson who was one of the first settlers of Stamford, Connecticut and a close neighbor of Captain John Seaman in Hempstead, Long Island. John Seaman and Robert Jackson were very influential in the early decision making in Hempstead.
