  1. Per a descendant of Louisa Edwards Young, a family bible indicates that Louisa's mother was Patsy Coleman, who came to Kentucky from Virginia as a young bride. However, that family bible is also summarized here, and belongs to *William* Edwards, who has entirely different children than this family. Martha Edwards, wife of Bernard, is listed in the will and estate records of Richard Davenport of Charlotte Co, VA. Bernard Edward and Martha Davenport married in 1811 in Charlotte Co, VA, at the right time and place to have son William Martin in 1812 in Virginia. In addition, Richard’s son Ballard Davenport also lived in Todd County in the 1830s. His daughter Dorothy married Bernard’s brother WIlliam.
