1940 - With parents at Pletcher Road, Lewiston, Niagara, New York. Marath [sic] BUTTERY, aged 6, born in New York, completed 1st grade at elementary school, attending school.

1969 - Newspaper Clipping: Lewiston Woman, 35, Killed in Smashup Mile From Home. A Town of Lewiston resident was pronounced dead on arrival at Mount St Mary's Hospital today when her car left the road in Porter-Center Road and crashed into a culvert. Killed was Mrs Martha E. Willms, 35, of 4412 Porter-Centre Road. The accident occurred a short distance north of Ridge Road and about a mile from the home of Mrs Willms. State police at Lewiston were informed by a passing motorist that there was a car in the culvert. Troopers Howard Gabriel and Patrick Malinowski found Mrs Willms in the front seat of the car with severe head injuries. An autopsy was to be conducted at Mount St Mary's Hospital to determine the cause of death. The car was spotted at 4:15am but troopers said the crash had occurred earlier. They said the vehicle had swerved to the right hand side of the road and then left into the ditch. Niagara County Coroner Oscar bell Jr is investigating. The death of Mrs Willms was the 28th this year on Niagara County highways. The figure is the same as last year to this date. Mrs Willms was born in Lewiston on Oct 11, 1933, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wilbur Buttery. She was a housewife and part time waitress. She was a life long resident of Lewiston. She is survived by her husband, Francis; three sons, Henry, Todd and Steven Willms; a daughter, Lori Willms, all at home; toe sisters, Mrs Shirley Chamberlain of Ransomville, and Mrs Keith (Lois) Shaw of Youngstown; two brothers, Morris Buttery of ransomville, and Jerald Buttery of Youngstown; and her grandmother, Mrs Grace Buttery of Lewiston. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday at the Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston, with the Rev Paul L. Denise of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Riverdale Cemetery.
