Mark Brown's will, dated 9 March 1766, was proved in Anne Arundel County 23 June 1769. Heirs named were Francis Hardesty, son of daughter Alice; Mark Brown Sappington, son of daughter Frances; daughters Frances Sappington and Alice Duvall. The Estate was closed 14 June 1775 by Lewis Duvall, his wife Alice (Hardesty) (Brown) Duvall and Frances (Brown) Sappington Sureties were West Burgess and Rezin Mobberly Source: [Anne Arundel] Wills, Liber 37, folio 198
