    in 1728, at the time of his marriage, he was a resident of Queen Annes Town
    On 28 June 1737 purchased 200 acres on the west side of the Patuxent, known as "Denune's Purchase", from Rev. Mr. Henderson [step-father of his wife Elizabeth Duvall] as well as additional property on 30 July 1737.
    He died intestate in 1763; disbursements of his estate were made to his widow Elizabeth and children Jane, Ann, Susannah, Catherine, Elizabeth, William, Jacob, and Mary.
