She was blond and blue-eyed. A great cook. Servant to William Haunnet on Jefferson Street according to 1900 Census, Haunnet Family had 6 children and there were three servants enumerated. Census indicates year of birth to be 1878 and lists name as Mary Krejka. Large rotund woman. Mary and husband Fred lived over his meat market at 2218 Adams Street May died at the Municipal Hospital in Two Rivers. At the time of her death, she was attended by Dr. A.P. Zlatnik. The undertaker was Edwin A. Klein. The rosary was recited at the Klein & Stangel funeral home and a solemn requiem high mass was held at St. Luke's church. She held considerable respect within the working communiuty and even Lodel's Quality Market was closed for the funeral. She was originally buried at Calvary Cemetery, South, Block 12, Lot 5 in Two Rivers, WI. Later exhumed and remains were reburied at non-Catholic, Holy Cross Cemetery,Section 34, Lot 3, Space 2 so she could be buried with her husband when he should die.
