Husband's (Jan's) Naturalization Certificate and 1910 Census indicate her year of birth to be 1856. Her birth date has been calculated from information on the record of death that states her age as "72 year 11 months, 20 days.

Immigration passenger lists indicate birth in 1854

The Census records show Austria - Bohemia as her place of birth.

1910 Census shows immigration to be 1858 and is apparently a transposition of numbers as the correct date is 1885.

Her native language was German and she could read and write but never learned English.

The passenger list indicates that her name was Marie.

Both the Census for 1900 and 1910 show her first name to be "Annie".

The 1920 Census indicates "Anna".

She was apparently in poor health for the several years prior to he death.

Anna died suddenly at home at 1616-23rd Street, of the heart attack because she did not receive the Sacraments before her death. Her death at 1:30 a.m. came as a shock, not only to her family but her many friends and relatives. She was attended by Dr. A.P. Zlatnik. The funeral director was Edward Goetz and services were held Saturday, 20 July 1929 due to late arrival of son, Frank, who travelled from Los Angeles, California. Services were at St. Luke's Catholic Church. She is buried in Calvary Cemetery.
