Marie-Madeleine GRANGER, born 2 May 1731 at St. Charles-des-Mines [Grand Pré], Acadie, daughter of Joseph & Angelique RICHARD (family #218). She married about 1750 to Alain BUGEAUD; two children. In 1752 the parents and son were residents of Riviere-du-Moulin-a-Scie on Isle St. Jean. On 23 Jan 1759 they disembarked at St. Malo from one of the "Five ships." [A daughter had died during the crossing. Alain would die within the month, their son less than a month later.] She resided at Pleurtuit from 1759-1760. Then she remarried to Joseph BOURG, widower of Marguerite-Josephe DUGAST, on 30 Jun 1760 at Pleurtuit, Ille-et-Vilaine [France] (family #173); six more children [three of them had baptismal sponsors that were GRANGER--Anne, Elizabeth, and Joseph, called uncle.] The family lived at St. Coulomb from 1760-1766; at St. Servan 1766-1771; at St. Coulomb again 1771-1772.
