They have 6 arpents of land, 50 quarts of corn, 3 horned cattle, 2 horses and 20 swine. No slaves or engages. [Next door is a widow Marie Christhine, age 68 [Marie's mother].
    Also: Maria MALBROU, age 41, living with Juan LICAIRE and four children, ages 21 to 12, on the Dec 1795 census of Valenzuela [LA]. There is also a Francisco COMUORE, age 30, in household. [Next door is Christina HENRRY [sic], age 76, living with Juan MALBROU, 25.]

!PARENTS-BIRTH-MARRIAGES-CHILDREN: Elton J. Oubre, "The Malbrough Family," 21-page article sent by Edward Domangue in May 1996. On p. 4, Marie MALBROUGH, oldest child of Nicholas MALBROUGH & Marie Chrsitine HOURY, was "of German nationality," born around 1754. She married 1st to Jean Baptiste Laurent FALTEMANN dit DESAIRES, with whom she had at least three children. She married 2nd to Jean LICAIRE dit LA VIOLETTE, by whom she had possibly a son and at least two daughters.

  On p. 6, her burial record at age 70 in Assumption Church lists her as widow of Jean LEQUEUR and daughter of Francois. "We may conclude either that the priest took faulty notes...or someone did not know his grandfather's name or he was actually Francois Nicholas MALBROUGH or Nicholas Francois."

!PARENTS-MARRIAGE: In letter from Margaret MOORE, 5307 Goos Ferry Road, Lake Charles, LA 70615, in May 1996. Marie MALBROU (MALBOEUF) was probably the daughter of Jacques & Genevieve HURETTE (OURIE); their parents are given also. She married to Jean LICAIRE; they were parents of Marie Marquerite [sic] LICAIRE (LECOEUR/LIQUEOR).

Jacques' father was Jean Baptiste, married to Marie-Marguerite RENAUD (daughter of Pierre Andre RENAUD, married to Francoise DESPORTES). Genevieve's father was Jean Baptiste HURETTE, married to Francoise METIVIER. Jean Baptiste's father was Bernard, married to Marie FISET (daughter of Francois-Abraham FISET who married Denise SAVARD. !NAME-MARRIAGE: Name on record at St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans, LA was Maria MARBRO, the widow Laurent. Name given when acted as baptismal sponsor for granddaughter Mariana Hanrrieta RENTROP was Mariana MALBROU.
