Margaret L. Farabaugh, 73, of Waxhaw, N.C., passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in her home after a lengthy illness and went to be with her Lord.
She was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Hempfield Township, a daughter of the late David C. and Margaret V. Kuhns Loughner.
She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Harrison City, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Methodist Women, the Soaring Eagles, the Bible Study and Chancel Choir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and David Loughner; and four sisters, Velma, Jean and Florence Loughner, and Marie Moser.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, the Rev. Homer J. Farabaugh; three sons, the Rev. Timothy M. Farabaugh and wife, Debby, of Virginia Beach, Va., Robert A. Farabaugh of Harrison City and Dennis J. Farabaugh and wife, Diane, of Hatboro; a daughter, Jennifer L. Mode and husband, Craig, of Waxhaw, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Farabaugh of Davidson, N.C.; a sister, Dorothy Davis of Hempfield Township; six grandchildren, David, Michael, Christopher, Joshua, Elizabeth and Ashley; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alexis and Vanessa.
Friends received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Community United Methodist Church with the Revs. Dale Smith and Chris Livermore co-officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
