Dorothy R. (Loughner) Davis, 94, of Manor, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.
She was born Nov. 13, 1911, in Paintertown, the daughter of the late David C. and Margaret (Kuhns) Loughner. She was also predeceased by her husband, Richard M. Davis, on Oct. 28, 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Russell (Linda) Davis, of Manor, and Glenn R. (Darlene) Davis, also of Manor; four grandchildren, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Wolbach, of Huntingdon, Richard (Carrie) Davis, of Gibsonia, Tracy (Marc) Alaia, of Trafford, and Lance Davis, of Manor, and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Wolbach and Macy and Matthew Alaia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert N. and David C. "Bud" Loughner; five sisters, Jean, Velma and Florence Loughner, and Margaret (Pat) Farbaugh and Marie Moser; her brother-in-law, Henry Moser, and niece Rhonda and nephew Scott Moser, whom she raised.
She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Manor also a member of the Mary and Martha Class, the Manor Senior Woman's Club, Manor Senior Citizens, Manor Homemakers and various card and craft clubs.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the E.J. RODGERS FUNERAL HOME, 140 Race St., Manor. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Darlene Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
