In 1861 William Alexander (b.1808 Fowlis Easter, Perthshire), minister of Duntocher Free Church, and wife Margaret (b.1827 Glasgow) lived at Free Church Manse, Main Rd., Duntocher, Dunbartonshire (census). George Pell Alexander (the son) lived as a bank clerk with his parents at Main Rd., Old Kilpatrick in 1871 (census).
