Lylia C. Gale
Lylia C. Gale, 86, 1074 Tod Ave. N.W. was dead on arrival at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Monday at 2:30 p.m. following a six month illness.
She was born July 28, 1893 in Penfield, daughter of Charles C. and Eva L. (McLean) Gardner. She was married July 7, 1918 to Jesse M. Gale, who died in January 1963.
Mrs. Gale was active in Christian Fellowship for 57 years and was a 4-H advisor for 15 years.
Survivors include a son, Franklin C. of Cleveland; four daughters, Bertine Shively and Carol Szili of Warren, Maxine Fenstermaker of Southington and Leora Brewster of West Farmington; a brother, Herbert A. Gardner of Ben Hur, Va.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home where friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bristolville.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Hattie Larlham Crippled Children's Foundation, 9722 Diagonal Road, Mantua, Ohio 44255.
