Lydia Kempson was baptised on 30th May 1808 at Totternhoe in Bedfordshire, daughter of Rebecca Kempson, formerly Turnham, and her husband George Kempson. Although Lydia was baptised the same day as her brother James, the age quoted for Lydia in 1817 suggests she was probably born around 1806, making her a couple of years old when baptised.

Sadly, Lydia died as a child, being buried at Totternhoe on 10th February 1817. She was said to be ten years old.
