Facts and Events
Luke Sweeney was born in 1898 at Balmaclellan in Kirkcudbrightshire, son of Annie Sweeney, formerly Murphy, and her husband Luke Sweeney, an agricultural labourer. Young Luke appears in the 1901 census living with his parents and siblings at Cassenvey Cottage in Balmaclellan. By 1903 the family had moved to the Corsock area in the parish of Kirkpatrick Durham. They appear in the 1911 census living there at Upper Barr. Luke has yet to be researched after 1911.
