Bangor News (ME) Publish Date: Wednesday, January 24, 2001 DELONG, Lola M., 84 PRESQUE ISLE - Lola M. DeLong, 84, wife of the late Harry A. DeLong, died Jan. 22, 2001, at Presque Isle. She was born in Castle Hill, March 12, 1916, the daughter of Ervin and Margaret (Littlefield) McHatten. Lola attended schools in Castle Hill and Mapleton. She worked for many years in the Presque Isle area. Lola enjoyed gardening and being with family and friends. She was an excellent homemaker, devoted wife and caring mother. She was especially proud of her four grandchildren. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Janice DeLong of Ashland and Barry and Connie-Jo DeLong of Cornville; four grandchildren,Trudy DeLong of Varanasi, India, Lee DeLong of Lynnwood, Wash., Flint DeLong of Seabrook, N.H. and Carrie-Jo LeBlanc of Madison; and three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; including a special niece, Dorothy Lavway of Presque Isle. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen McHatten and Carrie Easler; four brothers, Wilfred McHatten, Milford McHatten, Clifford McHatten and Lynwood McHatten. Relatives and friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Ackerson, officiating. Spring interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery (Lot 1589 South), Presque Isle.
