“DEATHS
MRS. LIDA BARTON FROST

Mrs. Lida Barton Frost died Saturday afternoon, July 3, 1920, about fifteen minutes to two at her home, 35 Lincoln street, after a short illness, the suddenness of her taking away coming as a great shock to her large circle of friends.
Mrs. Frost had not been well for the past two weeks. Saturday a week ago she sustained a slight stroke but quickly recovered and steadily improved until last Friday morning when the second stroke came and it was seen then that the end was near at hand. The second stroke left her entirely paralyzed and she never regained consciousness. All of her children were at her bedside when the end came, Wallace J Frost reaching home from Detroit about 4 o'clock Saturday morning.
[The] Deceased was daughter of the late John Harah and Rachel Barton. She would have been 61 years of age on the 22nd of this month. She was born in Uniontown and resided here all her life with the exception of 12 years spent in Pittsburgh. She was married on the 21st of June 1877, in Uniontown, to Wallace J. Frost, son of the late Thomas Frost and Laura Jackson Frost, the ceremony being performed by the late Rev. S. S. Gilson, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Mr. Frost died in Pittsburgh in 1892.
Four children survive: Mary and Horace, at home; Mrs. Daniel Sturgeon, of Uniontown, and Wallace J. of Detroit. There were two other children, Annette, who died the age of 4 and John, who died at the age of 7. Two sisters and two brothers also survive: Mrs. Isaac Jackson and Mrs. Annette Pearce, and John Harah and G. S. Harah, all of Uniontown.
The funeral will he held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the home of the late John S. Harah, 88 North Gallatin avenue, the old home of the deceased, the service beginning at 1 o'clock, in charge of Dr. W. Hamilton Spence, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of which the deceased was a devoted member. All friends are asked to attend the funeral, but [the] interment will be private. The pallbearers will be Howard H. King, Harry Wallman, F. W. Newdall, S. John Morrow, Henderson Steele and William A. Miller.”
