From a Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania newspaper, we have his obituary:
The Daily Courier, Tuesday Evening, November 4, 1947, Volume 45, Number 299, Last Edition, Page 2, Column 6:
“Horace C. Frost
Horace C. Frost, 59, retired businessman of Uniontown, died Monday [i.e. Monday, November 3, 1947] in a Washington Sanitorium [i.e. Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania] where he was a patient for the past four months.
Mr. Frost was manager of the Harah Shoe store at Uniontown for several years. A veteran of World War I, he served overseas as a machine gunner. He was a member of Lafayette Post No. 51, American Legion; Free and Accepted Masons and the First Presbyterian Church at Uniontown.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Laura Sturgeon of Uniontown and Miss Mary Frost of New York City and one brother, Wallace, of Birmingham, Mich.”
