WOODY, LENA GURNEY: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice State Times (Baton Rouge, LA) - December 6, 1989 Deceased Name: WOODY, LENA GURNEY Died Monday, Dec. 4, 1989, at Guest House Nursing Home. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She retired from the state in 1968 and during retirement was hostess for the Old Arsenal Museum on the State Capitol grounds. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. Survived by two sisters, Mildred Inez Gurney, Baton Rouge, and Mrs. W. Dan (Ethelyn) Files, Bastrop; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity.
