I am not messing with trying to figure out her spouses at this time... 1 Laura J is listed in the 1860 census of Dalton Whitfield Co Ga at the age of 17. She is also mentioned several times in James Lawrence's diary copy. The information on her marriages comes from Wm Thomas' descendants. It appears that the family left Dalton where John B was born & arrived in Morgan Co by 1863 where Robert Lee was born. She would have been 24 in 1866 when the Civil War was over & her mother died. She seems to have been someone her father depended upon when he left the family to find work before her mother's death. Dec 1995: Per IGI Laura is listed as the wife of Zack Hulsey. According to the James Wm Wozencraft family history her 2nd husband was Hud York who had been married to her sister Mary Eva. It would seem that Zack was married 1st to Martha who must have died, married Laura, then died, & Hud was married to Mary Eva & when she died he married Laura. May 1996: Per family group sheet from Louise Shiflet: Laura b 1842, d ca 1860 m Abraham Huddleston Hud, York; no notes on where info came from. Feb 1997: Per family group sheet by Virginia Barrow Mullis, great granddaughter at 1996 Wozencraft Reunion, forwarded by Louise Shiflet: Abraham Huddleston Hud York b 1843- d 1925 buried Van Wert Cemetery near Rockmart Ga; married 1863 to Laura Virginia Wozencraft d 1865 possibly buried behind house Rockmart Ga unmarked; their son was William Thomas/Tom Bill York b 1863 married Rebecca Williams. States that Laura was Hud's first wife & Emma his 2nd.
